RETAINING FORMALITIES

Form 1: Außergerichtliche Vollmacht / Extrajudicial Power of Attorney

Form 7: Honorarvereinbarung bei Rechtsgutachten/schriftlichem Eid / Fee Agreement in terms of a Legal Opinion/Affidavit

IMPORTANT NOTES:

A. No forms are required for translation work!

B. Should you wish to instruct this firm on account of a legal matter respecting German law, you will have to download the forms, sign them and send the following documents to our office:
- For a retainer in a non-litigious matter including advice on export matters: Form 1, 3, 4 and 5;
- For a retainer in a German court matter: Form 2, 3, 4 and 5;
- For a retainer in a matter requiring expert opinion in New Zealand: Form 3, 4 and 5.

The purchase price for the bilingual forms is NZ$50.00 (incl. GST). After your credit card details are verified an e-mail will be sent to you with a code for accessing the forms.

C. Form 6 or Form 7 may become relevant in particular cases as the advocate thinks fit as to the conduct of the matter or, alternatively, if the parties have agreed on a flat fee, which, in a German court matter, must not be lower than the statutory charges!

D. Anyone who becomes a mandator of this firm will be credited for the purchase price of the bilingual forms, however, please note that, unless the instructions are accepted in writing, there will be no contractual relationship other than a simple contract of sale in terms of the bilingual forms!

E. After your instructions are accepted you will usually be asked to make a payment on account, in accordance with section 9 of the RVG.
